The Psychology of Social Interactions
People have a fundamental need to belong...
From our family to our classroom, from our summer course to our basketball team, we belong to different social groups that shape our behavior. Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and mental processes.
The aim of the course will be to familiarize students with psychological terminology, research and concepts. Focus will be placed on social and cultural psychology. Students will explore issues influencing individual identity, the role of group membership, culture and stereotypes in identity formation and social interaction.
